The first time I saw Slipknot live was when they headlined the Soundwave Festival last year and remember being super excited to be in that photo pit because, well, it was Slipknot after all.
Unfortunately, I walked away from that session more than a little disappointed with my performance during their set and even though I managed to get a couple of keepers, in the end, I couldn’t help but feel that I let the excitement get the better of me that night.
So here I was, back in front of Slipknot once again during the Melbourne performance of their world tour and my past performance was definitely on my mind. I wasn’t going to let my excitement get the better of me this time.
I wasn’t going to let my excitement get the better of me again, and this time, mentally, I was fully prepared for what was about to happen.
It turned out to be one of the best concerts I have seen at Rod Laver Arena so far and to be completely honest; it’s going to be a hard one to top, period.
I mean, come on, this is Slipknot after all.
