Skid Row was one of the bands that contributed to the soundtrack of my teenage years so when the former singer, Sebastian Bach came to Melbourne’s Forum Theatre, I really wanted to be there with my camera.
I was amazed at just how popular, and how well regarded Sebastian still among Melbourne music fans and I was stunned (and impressed) by just how energetic his performance was.
Much to the delight of everyone in attendance, he left nothing behind.
Other than that, this was a problematic concert to photograph because there was no photo pit for us to work from so this meant we had to mingle, push and elbow our way through the crowd to find a vantage point.
It was indeed challenging but as a concert photographer these things are out of your control, and you have to roll with it.
